Daily life continues apace and all the extra things - like packing - need to be fitted in too. Mega house cleaning will be needed too as I have a couple of young friends house sitting for me. Shopping today - a couple of new tops and a couple of bits and pieces of gifts for friends overseas. It makes me very happy to feel so welcome. I had my Flu Vac and a Typhoid vaccination last week - the first really serious bit of preparation since buying my tickets. Of course I don't need Typhoid for England, but it is recommended for Israel.<br />I've also been doing a fair bit of reading to learn about Israel. I was most interested to discover that Hebrew was "rescued" from being a dead language (like Latin) by a man called Ben Yehuda at the end of the 19th century. He (and others) had to invent new words for new things like electricity and bicycles.
